Timed Attack Mode
Cloudflare's attack mode works, but it has a cost: your real visitors see a few seconds of challenge screen too. The problem is rarely turning it on — it's forgetting to turn it off. Specula leaves no way to enable it indefinitely.
A duration is required
You pick 1, 6 or 24 hours. When the timer runs out the mode turns itself off, so it can't be left on and slow your site down for days.
Your previous level is restored
Closing does not assume “medium”; it restores the level you had before the attack. If you were running something stricter, turning it off won't loosen it.
Manual changes are left alone
If you changed the level yourself in the Cloudflare dashboard meanwhile, Specula does not touch it and simply clears its timer. Every close is written to the domain's change history.
No way to enable it indefinitely
Its limits
This feature works only on domains connected through Cloudflare.
No timer is kept for an attack mode enabled outside Specula; the screen says so.
