DNS
DNS Health Score
Your DNS either resolves or it doesn't — but in between lies a grey area that gets expensive the day something breaks: a single nameserver, DNSSEC switched off, a TTL set far too short. Specula measures those in eight structural checks and reduces them to one score.
Eight checks, one score
Nameserver redundancy, DNSSEC, TTL values, apex configuration, MX and email authentication records become a score out of 100.
A drop arrives with its reason
The notification doesn't just say the score fell; it names the check that slipped.
The threshold was measured, not guessed
Notifications fire at a 5-point drop, and that number isn't arbitrary: the largest drop a transient query failure could cause was measured at 4 points. The threshold sits above it so it doesn't produce false alarms.
