IP Block Reputation Audit

Before you hand an IP address to a customer you want to know whether it has a history of spam. Specula checks every address in your block against 19 blocklists and splits the results into five classes — because adding them up in one counter produces false alarms.

• The address's own behaviour is separate from the network record

  When the address itself is listed, a delisting link is printed. When the listing belongs to the block or the ASN, no delisting is offered — that is your provider's job and you cannot fix it.

• A policy listing is not an offence

  PBL entries and missing rDNS are kept apart as policy items. Even a spotless 1.1.1.1 comes back with two listings — one network record and one policy.

• Names are derived, not guessed

  Each address can carry a name and a category (VPN, FTP, CDN, mail); the suggested name is derived from the common suffix of the rDNS records.
